Go to top of Eduardo VII park to see the view, then cross Marques de Pombal square, Liberdade avenue, Restauradores and Rossio squares, Pombaline downtown which has been the shopping area for more than 2000 years. Majestic waterfront Comercio square.


Continue the drive by the oldest quarter, Alfama, very ancient Cathedral, Sao Jorge castle, Renaissance Sao Vicente monastery, Santa Engracia church, national pantheon of Portuguese presidents. Go up another hill to the picturesque Bairro Alto, section of Fado singers, passing close by Chiado.. Pass by Estrela basilica, the Parliament of Portugal.


Cross the 25 Abril bridge and go to the statue of Christ. Stop for another superb panorama. If you take the elevator to the top of the Christ’s tower, more than 200 m high, you will contemplate a colossal view of Lisbon.


Returning to Lisbon we cross again the bridge and go to Belem, the most monumental and historical quarter, we pass by Belem palace. Stops at Belem Tower – icon of the Age of Discovery, the Monument to the Discoveries. Close by is Jeronimos Monastery, magnificent example of the Manueline style, the most impressive symbol of Portugal's power and wealth during the Age of Discovery (stop to see the church).


Close by there is the famous confeitaria de Belem, which makes Pasteis de Belem, a delicious Portuguese egg custard tart pastry, considered the typical pastry of Lisbon. And just a few yards away there is the coach museum, housing the best carriages’ collection in the world. Stop for photos at Ajuda, a 19th century neoclassical royal palace. We go by Restelo district, a sumptuous residential area and chic ambassadors’ district.

Day tours
The ticket for a tour entitles the holder to the transportation, entrance fees, services specified in the program and an official guide interpreter. Extras are not included. Children under 4 years of age are carried free (meals to be paid by the adult in charge) between 5 and 10 years of age will pay 50% of the normal price. If the number of participants falls below 7 passengers the tour operator reserves the right to use minibuses or private car.

Private tours
Private tours with guide/drivers (4 and 8 seater vehicles) don't include entrances and guide services inside monuments, meals or other extras. Unless required by clients, these private tours with guide/drivers will not have an official guide interpreter but an official guide driver (explains monuments inside the vehicle and suggests free time for visits). Private tours with guide interpreters (in buses with guide interpreter + driver) don't include entrance fees, meals or other extras but may include guide services inside monuments. According to Portuguese law, guided services inside monuments or on any other tourist attraction can only be provided by official guide interpreters.

Cancellation fees
Day tours and private tours: up to 3 labour days before departure - 25% of total price afterwards no refund is granted. Long and short range tours: up to 7 labour days before departure: 25% of total price afterwards no refund is granted. In the case of No Shows on services or on tours, starting at the airport, harbour, train or bus station, hotel, etc, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

General conditions
Insurance required by Portuguese Law. All tours are subject to alteration without notice. National Monuments close on public holidays and special occasions without notice. Luggage is carried at client's risk, these being advised to watch the loading and unloading of their belongings.

Complaints
These will only be accepted in written once directed to the agency where the reservation and payment were done, within the limit of 15 days after the service has been rendered. In agreement with the EC directive, complaints can only be accepted after details have been communicated to the respective suppliers (hotels, guides, local agents, etc.), during the trip or stay, demanding the respective documents to confirm the incident.
