Depart Lisbon – Palácio Nacional de Queluz The “Portuguese Versailles”, an 18th-century rococo royal residence. Highlights: Ornate Throne Room, Music Room, and Ambassadors’ Hall Formal gardens with fountains and canal Robillion Pavilion and Tiled Canal.


Drive to Sintra historic centre (~25 min) Castelo dos Mouros (Castle of the Moors) Ancient Moorish fortress (8th–9th cent.) with breathtaking panoramic views over Sintra and the Atlantic. Walk along the battlements and climb the King’s Tower for photos of Pena Palace and the forested hills. Tip: Wear good shoes – stone steps and uneven paths. Lunch in Sintra Town Recommended: Dessert: try a “travesseiro de Sintra” or “queijada” at Piriquita pastry shop.


Quinta da Regaleira A fairy-tale estate blending neo-Gothic architecture, symbolism, and gardens full of secrets. Must-see: The Initiation Well (spiral descent to symbolic “rebirth”) Regaleira Palace, chapel, tunnels, grottoes, and lake. Bring a flashlight or phone light for tunnels.


Convento dos Capuchos A stark contrast to Regaleira’s opulence — a humble 16th-century Franciscan monastery carved into the rock and cork-lined for insulation. Peaceful, atmospheric, and a perfect finale to the day.

Conditions



Day tours
The ticket for a tour entitles the holder to the transportation, entrance fees, services specified in the program and an official guide interpreter. Extras are not included. Children under 4 years of age are carried free (meals to be paid by the adult in charge) between 5 and 10 years of age will pay 50% of the normal price. If the number of participants falls below 7 passengers the tour operator reserves the right to use minibuses or private car.

Private tours
Private tours with guide/drivers (4 and 8 seater vehicles) don't include entrances and guide services inside monuments, meals or other extras. Unless required by clients, these private tours with guide/drivers will not have an official guide interpreter but an official guide driver (explains monuments inside the vehicle and suggests free time for visits). Private tours with guide interpreters (in buses with guide interpreter + driver) don't include entrance fees, meals or other extras but may include guide services inside monuments. According to Portuguese law, guided services inside monuments or on any other tourist attraction can only be provided by official guide interpreters.

Cancellation fees
Day tours and private tours: up to 3 labour days before departure - 25% of total price afterwards no refund is granted. Long and short range tours: up to 7 labour days before departure: 25% of total price afterwards no refund is granted. In the case of No Shows on services or on tours, starting at the airport, harbour, train or bus station, hotel, etc, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

General conditions
Insurance required by Portuguese Law. All tours are subject to alteration without notice. National Monuments close on public holidays and special occasions without notice. Luggage is carried at client's risk, these being advised to watch the loading and unloading of their belongings.

Complaints
These will only be accepted in written once directed to the agency where the reservation and payment were done, within the limit of 15 days after the service has been rendered. In agreement with the EC directive, complaints can only be accepted after details have been communicated to the respective suppliers (hotels, guides, local agents, etc.), during the trip or stay, demanding the respective documents to confirm the incident.
